Can I try it out before I pay?

Of course – you can try all of Cobalt’s features using the free tier. No commitment or credit card required.

Can I change plans?

Yes, you can change your subscription at any time in the subscription settings menu.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. Once you cancel your account won’t be charged again.

Can I have multiple users?

Currently we only have support for one user per account.

Can I manage multiple businesses?

Yes you can manage multiple businesses in Cobalt. All of your businesses are accessed using a single email and password login.

How do I collect payments from my customers?

Cobalt offers connection to Stripe to provide payment processing functionality. You need to sign up for an account with Stripe or connect your existing account. Cobalt charges a small fee on top of the Stripe processing fees. See our pricing page for rates.

Can I take payments without using Stripe?

Yes, you can record manual payments against an invoice. This includes direct debit or any other external method. There are no fees for recording manual payments.

Can I collect payments for multiple businesses?

Currently we only support connection to one Stripe account per user. This account will be shared across all of your businesses. Contact us to discuss if using separate Stripe accounts is a requirement for you.

Can I use Cobalt outside of New Zealand?

Cobalt has been built specifically with NZ business practices in mind. Therefore we do not recommend using Cobalt for overseas business. Contact us to discuss further.

Is Cobalt an app that I can install on my phone?

Cobalt is a browser-based web application. This means it can be opened using any internet browser on your computer, tablet, or phone. There is currently no native app available.
